I’m Shanice, a Counselling Psychologist with a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults navigating emotional challenges, identity, and life transitions.
My approach is collaborative and thoughtful, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when you feel safe, understood, and genuinely connected. My values are rooted in authenticity and acceptance. I am passionate about mental health advocacy and destigmatisation, as I believe in dispelling the myths and misconceptions that hinder help seeking.
In my work, I strive to create a therapeutic space that is inclusive and affirming towards diverse identities. I am proudly aligned with the LGBTQIA+ community, non-traditional couples, and students. I believe in working with sensitivity and respect for each person’s lived experience.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, which allows me to tailor treatment to your unique needs, whilst drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
I work with concerns such as anxiety and mood difficulties, life stressors, loss and bereavement, adjustment challenges, personality dynamics, and exploration around gender and sexuality. I offer therapy for individuals, couples, and groups.
I understand how daunting the process of therapy might seem, but perhaps we can figure it out together in a space that feels sacred and containing. It would be a privilege to walk with you as you embark on your journey of healing, self-exploration, and growth.
